THE MISSION

Our mission is to create a conscious, family friendly gathering, kicking off the summer season in the Colorado high country, while supporting nonprofit organizations dedicated to environmental, educational and humanitarian causes.

Campout For The Cause was created in 2009 by Scotty Stoughton to provide a platform for Colorado and touring musicians, yogis and artists to perform in a magical Colorado setting while bringing awareness and support to our sponsored nonprofits.  Diversity in the music and sustainability at the event are paramount to our philosophy as well as fostering and supporting a community of responsible and respectful festival participants.

Following a trip to Haiti shortly after the devastating 2010 earthquake, Stoughton was inspired by the non political/bureaucratic work done by All Hands Volunteers.  In the years since, Campout for the Cause has supported a multitude of local and international NPO’s.
